A viral video of a Vande Bharat Express passing through flooded railway tracks in Mumbai has become one of the most talked-about monsoon visuals recently.The footage shows the train slicing through the water and throwing up massive sprays on both sides, which splash the overbridge traffic above the track, much like what is seen in action-packed hero and thriller movies.Where this video was shot certainly remains a question, but certain social media accounts claim the clip was filmed near Kanjurmarg, where rainwater had collected over the rails, and the train continued moving through the flooded stretch.
The clip comes at a time when Mumbai has been facing very heavy rainfall
The India Meteorological Department declared the onset of the southwest monsoon over Mumbai on June 23, 2026, and placed the city under an orange alert, warning of severe thunderstorms, gusty winds, and heavy rain.Rainfall has caused waterlogging in several low-lying areas, slowed traffic, and affected daily routines.
